couple 1

I don’t know about you, but when our anniversary comes around, the fiance always makes a big effort to spoil me. Of course, I love being treated to breakfast in bed and cute little gifts, but I always like to make sure that I spoil him back. I’m all for being treated like a Queen, but I think making your beau feel good too, is incredibly important.

I know, I know, treating men can seem almost impossible – it’s not like you can give them flowers, but it doesn’t have to be. It’s just a case of working out the types of treats that they’ll appreciate. It’s taken me a while to work this out, but finally, I think I’ve mastered the art of picking presents that I know he’ll love.

In case you’re struggling with this, I thought I would share a few of my favourite ideas. Hopefully, these will make it much easier to plan your anniversary and make it just as special for him as it is for you.

Find little ways to treat him

He might have breakfast in bed and dinner covered, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find a few little ways to treat him. It doesn’t matter what you do; it’s just about finding ways to show him that you care. For instance, I like to surprise the fiance with a little pot of pic and mix because I know it’s his fave treat. Or sometimes, with a selection of different ciders. He’s a cider lover, and always enjoys testing out new flavours.

If you have to, get creative and think outside of the box. It’s not always easy finding ways to make him smile, but there are plenty of ways that you can do so. It could simply be surprising him with a trip to his favourite sports store – my fiance is golf mad, or it could be a treat that’s a little more exciting.

Pick him a present with a twist

When it comes to picking his present, don’t go down the same route you always do. Instead, take the time to choose a gift that’s unique and unexpected. If you always treat your beau to shirts, video games, and his favourite sweet treat, it’s time to break the habit and get more creative.

How about booking him in for an adventure day? If there’s an extreme sport or activity, he’s always wanted to try, give him the chance to do so. Or, what about buying tickets for a helicopter ride from somewhere like Pleasure Flights Ltd? If you would rather opt to buy him a gift rather than an activity, gadgets and gizmos are always a good shout. The boy toy of 2016 has to be drones – every guy loves them and wants one. So, if you’re stuck for a fantastic gift idea, this could be the way to go.

Make him feel special

Just like he does all he can to make you feel special on your anniversary, you should aim to do the same for him. Remember, it’s the small touches that make him feel special, it doesn’t have to be anything too big.

Simple things like ensuring his favourite drink is in, running him a relaxing bubble bath, and buying that DVD you know he wants, are all it takes. When it comes to making your partner feel special, it really is all in the details.

There you have it, everything that you need to know about making your anniversary special for him.
