I discovered a cute new stationery brand…

A few weeks ago, I was asked by Llama Talks if I would like to review some of their lovely stationery. Being the stationary addict that I am, I jumped at the chance. Ellis, the co-founder of Llama Talks, popped some goodies in the post for me to test out and review – I honestly couldn’t wait to receive them. I was like an excited kid at Christmas.

While I was waiting for the products to arrive, I did a little research into who Llama Talks are. The brainchild of Ellis and her then boyfriend (now husband) James, the concept behind Llama Talks is amazing. On the way home from a much-needed break to Cornwall, the couple decided that they wanted to spread positive messages through cute quotes and stationary. Starting out with gift cards, Llama Talks have now expanded into homeware and gifts, and hopes to continue to expand into more areas over time.

When my little package arrived from Llama talks it came with a cute little note – I love it when brands take the time to write a note, it shows that they really appreciate working with you. It was hand-written and even had a little Llama sticker on it – aww.

Anyway, onto the good stuff – what was inside my little package?

The first thing I noticed was a cute poster with a cactus on it and the phrase ‘Prick’. I thought this was super cute and really funny. I love how unique the Llama Talks designs are. I liked this so much that it’s now pinned to my pin board above my desk.

I then came across a funny little spider greetings card with a picture of a spider making a cobweb on it and the phrase ‘I made it with my bum’. I really like this quirky little design, it put a smile on my face, especially as I was always obsessed with the nursery rhyme ‘Incy Wincy Spider’ when I was a kid…When the fiance saw it, he loved it too and had a good old laugh.

As well as the spider card, I’d also been given a motivational greetings card that reads ‘throw kindness around like confetti’. This I absolutely LOVE. I’m a real fan of motivational quotes and things like that, so I love this cute little greetings card. I’ve also pinned this up on my pin board because I love it so much.

I was also sent two little rubbers – an ice cream shaped one and a toadstool one. These cute designs take me right back to my childhood – I’m sure I used to have rubbers like these when I was a kid!

Nestled at the bottom of the package was a cute little pin badge of a llama on a white background with a floral outline around it. The llama is just so cute, I love the style he’s drawn in – it’s so different to the norm.

As part of their stationary range, Llama Talks also sell cute little hand mirrors. I was sent a lovely little penguin one that is just so cute. They come in lots of designs, all of which are so pretty – I love them all. This has actually made it into my makeup bag as it’s the perfect size for when I’m out and about. I might start collecting all the Llama Talks mirrors as they’re all so cute and quirky.

I was also sent a sweet little Japanese Kokeshi magnet. This is such a pretty design – I love the fact that it’s designed in pastel colours, as are most of Llama Talks pieces. It’s so pretty and feminine, perfect for having on my desk – it’s stuck to the base of my rose gold desk lamp.

I am a big cat lover so this last one – a quirky cat sticker, was perfect for me. Being the proud owner of four cats (I’m not a crazy cat lady I promise, it just happened that way),  I love anything cat-related.

Would I buy from Llama Talks?

Since receiving my lovely little package, I’ve had a good old nosey on the Llama Talks website and have to say I’m quite impressed. For a new business, there’s a fantastic range of products available. I’m a real fan of this quirky little stationery brand. I would, without a doubt recommend it, in fact, I have already been.

As I love the products and the concept so much, I will be putting together a very special feature all about Ellis and James and their amazing little business – watch this space!
