It might be fairly new to the UK, but I LOVE Black Friday. This is partly because I am a real bargain shopper and love nothing more than a deal, but also because it’s such a fun time of year. Being able to bag a bargain before Christmas is fantastic, especially when you’re on a budget – we used to have to wait until Boxing Day for all the best deals. (On Black Friday, I am like a kid at Christmas – hyper and over excited.)

I have seen quite a few other bloggers do these Black Friday posts, so I thought that this year I would join in. I rarely treat myself to new things, especially as money is often tight for the fiance and I. However, I had a couple of vouchers to spend, so managed to get some lovely little treats – eekk.

So what did I get?

I absolutely love New Look, so when I found out that they were offering up to 50% off some of their ranges, I couldn’t have been more excited. I popped into the store and found lots of lovely goodies on sale, including a scarf that I had been wanting for ages. As well as treating myself to my scarf, I also picked up a cute little candle. (Recently, I have become OBSESSED with candles, so I was really pleased to find one of sale.)

I have been dreaming of investing in one of Urban Decay’s Naked 3 palettes for a while, and was hoping that they came on sale on Black Friday. Sadly, that wasn’t the case, so I headed to Boots to see what other gems I could find. When I saw L’Oreal’s Colour Riche La Palette Nude Rose had almost the same shades at Naked 3, and was more than half the price, I decided to invest. (For a very special review, watch this space.) Thanks to Black Friday, this came with a free L’Oreal Christmas gift. The free gift – L’Oréal Feline Fatal Christmas 2015 Gift – came with four full-sized products. (A mini eyeshadow palette, mascara, liquid eyeliner, and a beautiful jade nail varnish.) How amazing is that? I’ll be reviewing these amazing products in another post, later this week.

I’ve been wanting to test out Rimmel’s Glitter Top Coat range for ages, so when I saw the polishes were down from £3.99 to £2.99, I had to pick one up. I opted for 001 – aka, Bring On The Glitter, because during the festive season, I love gold polishes. The reason that I’ve been wanting to try this range out is simply because I love glitter polishes, especially those that can be worn on their own. (It might say top coat, but like their past glitter polishes, I have a hunch with a couple of layers these can be worn alone.) Another bargain I picked up was a new eyeshadow blending brush, as I’ve heard that the ones that come in most palettes aren’t exactly great. (They’re hard to use, shed hairs like crazy and make blending almost impossible. Down to just £3.50, this was just too good a deal to say no to.

Did you shop the sales over the weekend? If so, what did you get – clothes, beauty products, accessories, or homeware? I love hearing about what others like to splurge on, so please feel free to share links to your Black Friday posts in the comment section, below.

If you haven’t shopped yet, there’s no need to panic as the sales aren’t over yet, tomorrow is Cyber Monday. So if you haven’t treated yourself yet, make sure to have a browse of all your fave website tomorrow, and you just might find a couple of amazing deals.
