I was super excited to be invited to attend V Festival as a Debenhams VIP, unfortunately I couldn’t make it. *Cries* tears of pure frustration… However, despite not being able to attend the festival itself, I decided to put together a festival fashion post, featuring a range of looks from Debenhams. I’ve been to plenty of festivals before, so when it comes to festival fashion, I like to think that I am rather well versed in what to wear…and what not to wear! (At least I hope so, anyway!)
My all-time favourite festival has to be T in the Park. Yes, it was a LONG drive there but it was well worth it, I had a tent in the VIP section, access to the VIP bar and relaxation area which had actual bathrooms, not portaloos! The VIP section was seriously cool, it even had a swing which I sat on while sipping cocktails. I’m also a big fan of V Festival, Cornbury, and Bestival.
What I love most about festival fashion is how cute and quirky it can be. I’m a big fan of anything remotely pretty or floral, so when it comes to festival looks, I’m a major fan of pretty, feminine style.
Festival look #1. (tea dress, ankle boots & denim jacket)
Festival fashion look number one is the ideal look for anyone who loves to dress up and feel ‘well put together’. I personally love the idea of wearing a pretty tea dress to a festival and using an oversized denim jacket and leather ankle boots to dress it down. I think that this outfit combination works really well together as it’s pretty, quirky, and has that ‘festival’ vibe to it.
How would I accessorize this look? I would curl my hair, adding a couple of little plaits on each side, to create that boho chic look that festivals are famous for. To match the pretty floral print of the dress, I would add a flower crown of yellow or white flowers to my head. If you don’t wear a flower crown is it even a festival?!

Festival look #2.
This look is perfect for a slightly cooler day or anyone who isn’t a fan of dresses. I am a big fan of these ultra high-waisted, ripped jeans from Dorothy Perkins – I live in my pair. Teaming these with a pretty gingham top edged with lace and worn tucked in (obviously) and topped with an oversized denim jacket creates the ideal festival look. Add a pair of sandals (or wellies if it’s wet) and you are set to look fabulous all day long.
How would I accessorize this look? To add a little festival quirkiness to this look, I would wear my hair in space buns and add a little glitter spray. What’s more quirky than space buns and glitter? I’d also wear bracelets up my arms, dangly earrings and a choker necklace to give the outfit more of an edge.

Festival look #3.
Personally, this is one of my favourite festival looks because it’s just so wonderfully chic and stylish. It fits the relaxed festival look without being too relaxed; it’s pretty, summery, and perfectly on trend. Teaming a black floral printed bardot dress with an oversized denim jacket, shoulder bag, and ankle boots creates a pretty and relaxed look.
As for how I would accessorise this look to give it a more ‘boho’ vibe, I would pop a pair of tortoiseshell sunnies on, French plait part of my hair sweeping the plait across my forehead and down the side, adding a few floral pins to the plait. After all, at a festival is all about flower power, right?
