I’ve joined Blogtober 2016
Today, while scrolling through Twitter – a task I save for lazy Saturday afternoons, I came across various Tweets talking about something called ‘#Blogtober2016’. Naturally, being the curious gal that I am, I did some Googling and found that Blogtober is a link-up that runs throughout the month with the aim of encouraging us bloggers to blog every single day in October – a concept that I love. So naturally, I decided to get involved.
How does Blogtober work?
Each day the host blogger, the lovely Mandi from Hex Mum Plus One, sets a theme. Then, everyone involved in the link up writes a post around the chosen theme and links up via InLinkz. It all seems to be fairly straightforward.
Day 1: Who are you?
Whenever anyone asks who I am, I always struggle to know what to say. So I thought I would simply share some random facts with you.
I’m 24-years-old and live in sunny East Devon with my fiance, Springerjack puppy, and cats.
I was born in South Devon and grew up there before moving to Cheltenham for university, where I met my partner. After four years living in Gloucestershire, I convinced him to move to Devon with me, and we’ve been here ever since.
My partner and I both work from home; he works in customer services and I work as a freelance writer, blogger and PR executive.
I’m a degree trained journalist and blogger. I studied Multimedia Journalism at the University of Gloucestershire from 2011 – 2014, and during that time worked my way up the university newspaper until I became the editor! (I’ve always been ambitious!)
I have an unhealthy obsession with makeup, particularly highlighters and eyeshadow palettes. I probably should go on a makeup buying ban…
I love to bake, the only problem is that I have no self-control and manage to gobble up everything that I make within a day or so. Brownies are my favourite, especially if they’ve got a gooey centre.
I’m partial to the odd cocktail or too. My favourites are Cosmopolitan, Strawberry Daiquiri, and Passion Fruit Daiquiri.
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing an old photo of me as part of Blogtober so make sure to check back to have a peep.
