I’ve seen quite a few of these ‘what’s in my bag’ posts, so I thought I would put together one of my own. I should probably mention that sometimes my bag does contain random loose change, crumbs and the odd tampon or two, but for this post I thought it was best to leave those little details out. I am pretty good with my hand bag, I clear it out quite regularly. However, on the odd occasion it does get a little full with all sorts of random bits and bobs.

The bag

Let’s start off with the bag itself.  I have two bags that I switch between, this one – aka my big bag, and a cute H&M mini satchel. While I love both of these bags, this one is my absolute favourite and my ultimate go-to. Firstly because it’s neutral colour – it’s a mixture between grey and beige, and so, it goes with everything. And secondly, because it’s such a good size, I can fit everything that I need into it.

Purse

I love my purse. You’ll probably notice that it’s quite a big design, that’s because my purse is always packed full of all sorts. From my debit cards and driver’s license to old photos, somehow I manage to use up all the space. I am a big fan of Edina Ronay accessories, so when my friend gave me this as a birthday present a couple of years ago, I couldn’t have been happier. I don’t know about you but the magenta shade of my purse makes me love it even more.

Makeup bag

I know, I know, I should just carry the essentials with me. The thing is, you never know what you might need, do you? That’s why I always opt to lug my entire makeup bag around with me. (You might think I’m crazy, but I’m a firm believer in always being prepared.) Admittedly, if I’m taking my smaller bag, I will trim my makeup collection down a bit. For me, the essentials are my mascara – I’m currently obsessed with Benefit They’re Real, eyeliner, pressed powder, and, of course, a lip crayon.

Organiser

I always like to keep my organiser with me. What I love about my current organiser is the fact that there is plenty of room for each day, so I can fit in everything that I need to. For the past three years I have opted for one of the Klimt designs because I just love how pretty they are – they’re packed full of beautiful pieces of art. However, for 2016 I’ve made a change and opted for a Passion Planner, as I’m hoping the structure it offers will help me grow my blog. (Fingers crossed!)

iPad

For me, my iPad mini is a handbag essential; I never like to go anywhere without it. You might be wondering why I don’t have a full-sized iPad – that’s simply because I have the smallest hands and have always struggled to use larger touch screens. A gift from the fiance a couple of Christmases ago, my iPad is my ultimate creative space. It’s where I jot down all my blogging ideas, manage my social media accounts, and schedule my posts. My iPad is something that I really would be lost without. The case is from Accessories, and I absolutely love it, it’s so pretty.

Nail polish

I am always switching my nail polishes around, at the moment my two go-tos are Models Own Gold Finger and Barry M Dragon Fruit. I always find that as soon as November hits, I go mad for glitter polishes as they make me feel all festive. As for the pink, I am a real fan of Barry M’s gelly collection. Normally, I would save pink for the summer months, but as I’ve used up all my other gelly shades, I’m stuck with pink for now.

L’Occitane samples

When I last popped into my local L’Occitane to pick up a couple of bits and bobs, the lady who served me was kind enough to give me some samples. I’ve recently been trialing them for a post, and so have been carry a couple around in my bag for the past few days. (Any products I can get my hands on get reviewed, even samples.) I can’t say much more about these two products – L’Occitane’s Ultra Rich Comforting Cream and Skin Perfector, as I am still in the process of reviewing them.

Keys

Well, yeah my keys are definitely an essential. Otherwise, I wouldn’t be able to get back into my house. I carry them everywhere – obviously.

Perfume

I don’t know about you, but for me, perfume is a handbag must-have. I have two favourite perfumes – Bvlgari Coral and Vera Wang Princess, I am currently carrying around the latter. I don’t normally keep full sized perfume bottles in my bag, I usually have a roll on travel stick, but seem to have misplaced it. Hence why I have a big bottle of perfume stashed in my bag.

Hair grips

I have long hair, so I always like to have grips to hand. After all, you never know when you’re going to have a bad hair day, or in my case, a mad hair day.

Burt’s Bees lip balm

Anyone who follows my blog will know how much of a fan I am of Burt’s Bees, especially their lip balms. I mean, you can’t really go wrong with a beeswax lip balm. Of all their balms, this peppermint one is my absolute fave.

L’Occitane Lavande hand cream

Winter is here, which means one thing – dry, sore hands. For some reason my hands become dry and chapped really easily, so having a hydrating cream to hand at all times is essential. I am always switching between different hand creams, but one of my favourite brands is L’Occitane. I am especially fond of their Shea Butter range, however, at the mo my go-to cream is the Lavande hand cream. I just love how gorgeous this smells – the lavender scent is subtle and soothing. I’m not a fan of overly scented things, so this is perfect for me.
