2016

Last night as Big Ben struck midnight, not only did a new day begin but also a brand spanking new year. That’s right folks, it’s now and officially 2016!

Of course, with the start of a new year, comes the annual ‘new year, new me’ entourage of discussions and Facebook statuses. Normally I am one of those people swearing that with the start of a new year, you will also see a new and improved me, but not this year. Instead, I have decided to set myself goals for the coming year, not resolutions.

So what are my goals for the next 12 months? What do I want from 2016? Aside from a happy, healthy and wealthy year, what I want from the coming year is…

To be more focused on the blog

My aim for the future is that one day, I will be able to run my blog full-time. Of course, this is a dream that’s a long way off, but to have any chance of achieving it, I need to be more focused on the blog.

I want to start building up my blog, my bonds with other bloggers, and my links with beauty brands. To do this, I aim to do at least two collaboration posts a month with other bloggers. I also plan on doing five posts a week on the blog, two of which at least, will be product reviews. To boost my readership, I aim to take full advantage of social media, and hope to run a couple of giveaways in the next couple of months. (Watch this space!)

To boost my social media followings

This one kind of links to the goal above, as it will significantly affect how successful my blog is. By the end of 2016, I am to have at least 4000 Twitter followers, 500 Instagram followers and 500 likes on my blogs Facebook page.

To build up my Forever Living Business

I have been a Forever Living Business owner since July 2014, and haven’t done enough with the opportunity. This year, however, I am to change that. My goal is that by the end of 2016, I will be making at least £500 a month from my Forever Living business. To do this, I will need to work closely with my mentor and ensure that I put more time into it. (I still need to work out how to go about this, but I’ll get there.)

To be financially stable

Like most people, I have debts. Most of these are from university, from my student overdraft and things like that. I hate being in debt, and so have set myself the goal of clearing as many of my debts as I can by the end of the year. It might not be easy, but I am determined to be debt free as soon as possible. (I almost feel like until I am debt free, life is on hold.) In keeping with this goal, I plan on posting regular budget beauty reviews and tips posts on the blog.

To exercise regularly

Every year for the past few years, this has been one of my resolutions. This year, it’s one of my goals. I don’t do enough exercise, and that needs to change. It’s not just a case of keeping the weight off and staying in shape, if you don’t exercise, it can have many implications on your long-term health and can put you more at risk of certain diseases. So this year, I will most definitely be hitting the gym more regularly.
So there you have it, my goals for 2016. What do you want from the coming year?
