Dark bags are a real nightmare aren’t they? There are so many products that promise the world when it comes to dark circles but just don’t deliver. If like me you suffer from pesky dark bags under your eyes, you need a product that does what it says on the bottle. After a lot of product testing, I think I’ve found three bad boys that deliver exactly what they say they do. The best news is that they’re from drugstore brands so are affordable whatever your budget.

I bet you can’t wait to hear what these three almighty products are – I mean who wouldn’t want to know about three of the world’s best beauty buys for dark circles? I know I would, especially being someone who constantly sports purple-toned under eyes. Drum roll please… My three go-to products for beating dark circles are Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer – an amazing dupe for Benefit Erase Paste, Kiko Dark Circle Tone Eraser and Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. The latter may not sound like a product for dark circles but you would be surprised at just how handy it can be.

Let’s start with the dark sheep – Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser. It might not seem like a product that’s fantastic for masking dark bags but it actually can be, depending how you use it and what you team it with. Baby Skin may not work fantastically alone as a dark circle eraser, but as a base for your concealer of choice, it works wonders. Blurring imperfections and evening out skin tone, this primer masks dark areas, making them easier to cover. Thanks to its colour correcting technology, it also helps to neutralise purple and grey tones. The balmy texture of the product also means that concealer sits more naturally and lasts longer – a must if you need dark circles banished all day.

An incredible dupe for Benefit Erase Paste, Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer is amazing. Offering medium to full coverage, you might think that this concealer would be too heavy and cakey but it’s surprisingly light. You might not expect it but this handy little product is more liquid-like than you would think. It’s easy to blend and applies like a dream. To erase dark circles, use a flat concealer brush to dab the product under the eyes and then gently blend. For best results apply it under your foundation – some concealers work well on top of foundation but not this one.

Different to Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer but fantastic in its own way is Kiko Dark Tone Eraser. This silky, colour correcting formula is a little pump of greatness. The yellow-toned liquid is surprisingly light and easy to blend – a little goes a very long way. Because of how light the formula is it doesn’t sit on top of the skin or in the lines, it blends seamlessly. The creamy consistency means that it’s easy to achieve a smooth finish, perfect for popping your foundation on top of.
